1. Overview
IPTV Player X is designed as a local-first IPTV client/player. The application allows users to use IPTV sources they provide themselves. The developer does not provide or host IPTV streams.
2. Local Data
The application stores app data locally, including playlist, channel, history and favorites information, using the app's local SQLite database. This local-first design is intended to avoid sending users' IPTV content to a developer-controlled server.
3. Credentials
Playlist/provider credentials are stored using secure local storage. The Android implementation uses Android Keystore-backed protection where available. Credential sanitization is used to reduce accidental exposure of passwords, authentication information and sensitive headers in logs, interfaces and errors.
4. IPTV Connections
When a user imports a playlist or provider account, the application connects to the source selected by the user. IPTV stream URLs, playlists and provider credentials are not uploaded to a developer IPTV server.
5. Advertising and Consent
The application uses Google Mobile Ads SDK and the User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising and consent-related functionality. Advertising-related processing is governed by the applicable Google services and the choices presented to the user by the consent flow.
6. Accounts
IPTV Player X does not require a developer-hosted user account for its core local-first IPTV functionality.
7. Developer Servers and Telemetry
The current application architecture does not use a developer-controlled IPTV content server or a general-purpose telemetry backend for users' IPTV content.
8. User Responsibility
Users are responsible for the IPTV sources they import and for ensuring that their use of those sources is lawful and appropriately authorized.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when the application's actual data practices, advertising services or security architecture materially change.
